The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) helps ensure that people living with HIV and AIDS who are uninsured and under-insured have access to medication.

Eligibility Criteria

In the State of Iowa, to be eligible for ADAP enrollment, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a positive HIV/AIDS diagnosis;
  • Be a resident of Iowa;
  • Limited or no coverage from private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare.
  • Income at or below 500% of the federal poverty level.
Application Instructions

Iowa residents apply for ADAP with the assistance of case managers. More information can be found in the Client Services Manual.
