The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) helps ensure that people living with HIV and AIDS who are uninsured and under-insured have access to medication.

Oregon's AIDS Drug Assistance Program is called CAREAssist.

Eligibility Criteria

In the State of Orgon, to be eligible for ADAP enrollment, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a positive HIV/AIDS diagnosis;
  • Be a resident of Oregon;
  • Meet income eligibility using the Federal Poverty Level guidelines (550% and below)
  • Must be ineligible for health insurance. Program must be notified if and when insurance becomes available.
  • Must be enrolled in community-based Ryan White HIV Case Management services.
  • Must maintain all other program requirements, such as completion of the Client Eligibility Review.
