Directory of AIDS Drug Assistance Programs

Iowa

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program ( ADAP ) helps ensure that people living with HIV and AIDS who are uninsured and under-insured have access to medication.

Eligibility Criteria: 
  • HIV-positive status
  • Iowa residency
  • Limited or no coverage from private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare.
  • Income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level.
Application Instructions: 

Iowa residents apply for ADAP with the assistance of case managers. More information can be found in the Ryan White Part B Client Services Manual.

State covers some form of HCV drug therapies as part of their approved drug formularies: Yes
