The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) helps ensure that people living with HIV and AIDS who are uninsured and under-insured have access to medication.
Eligibility Criteria
In the State of Puerto Rico, to be eligible for ADAP enrollment, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Have a positive HIV/AIDS diagnosis;
- Be a resident of Puerto Rico;
- Evidence of HIV diagnosis
- Economic eligibility (200% of the Federal Poverty Level)
- No other or limited health insurance
El Programa Ryan White Parte B/ADAP debe asegurar que es el pagador de último recurso para poder ofrecer a las personas con VIH elegibles los servicios de tratamiento y apoyo que subvenciona. Los criterios generales de elegibilidad para ser beneficiario del Programa son los siguientes:
- Comprobación de identidad,
- Domicilio en Puerto Rico,
- Evidencia de diagnóstico de VIH,
- Elegibilidad económica (ingresos iguales o menores del 200% del nivel de pobreza federal),
- No contar con un seguro de salud o tener una cubierta limitada para el servicio que solicita.
Application Instructions
Las personas que interesen beneficiarse de los servicios de ADAP pueden solicitarlos en cualquiera de los centros clínicos que forman parte de su red.
